Holy Sprit moment! As the plane taxied to the gate, I posted the picture below for the first time on FB with the following caption:
Vocation Ministry has come to Kansas for the first time! Can you please say a prayer for all those attending the Hundredfold Workshop tonight! St. Alphonsus Liguori, pray for us! — at Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
Little did I know that when I arrived at the venue for me to speak to the 85 parishioners, in front of the podium would be this beautiful bouquet of wheat! Wow!
I just cannot say enough about the people that I met! Some parishes brought posters displaying what they are doing for vocations at their parishes!
One priest was a graphic designer in his professional life before the priesthood, and he took Fr. Victor’s Consecration Prayer and made it into a beautiful 8 x 17-inch postcard with a rosary for vocations on the back. Find it here under Prayer! Download it and use it every month at your meetings!
I was so inspired by the positivity that EVERYONE exuded! What an Archdiocese!
On day two, I spoke with Serrans and Consecrated Sisters! Below you will see the Sisters of Jesus the Lord in red and black who have the charism of evangelizing in parishes and in RUSSIA! You may have even seen them on EWTN Live with Fr. Mitch Pacwa in the summer. The three younger sisters were skyped in from Russia for his show. I was blown away by their enthusiasm for supporting vocations at parishes.
Sr. Mary Clare and Sister Connie (far right), of St. Francis of the Holy Eucharist. While there I stayed with them and 12 other sisters at their mother house in Independence, MO, who have a teaching charism. I had a respite with Jesus during perpetual adoration and daily Mass! They could not have been more kind. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me a glimpse into life at the convent!
St. Alphonsus Liguori, pray for us!
