The Archdiocese of St. Louis Serra Clubs, which has vibrant activities, wanted to introduce Vocation Ministry and the book Hundredfold to as many people as possible. So, they brought me in to speak to 400 attendees at the St. Charles Serra Club’s priest and religious appreciation dinner! 400 people, which was the most I have ever spoken to LIVE before! They were so welcoming and thankful to hear the message, especially the parents of seminarians and priests!
I, also, met some Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia, who teach throughout the area school. Joyful witnesses to all the meet, these sisters are inspiring future generations of priests and sisters in their classrooms.
On my day off, I took a retreat day as I was staying at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary. This place is peaceful and inspiring. A Holy Spirit moment happened after morning prayer! Recessing down the aisle is Fr. Mark McCormick, Vocation Director of Rapid City, South Dakota!!! A FB memory reminded me that I was in his diocese one year ago that day speaking with parishioners! Crazy!
Later, I shared the message about VM on Covenant Radio with the remarkable Ann Moloney!
My last day in St. Louis was awesome! I spoke to the St. Louis Serrans and about 30 priests of the Archdiocese! Then, I received a whirlwind tour of Union Station hotel (a must see) and a visit to Mount Grace Convent to say thank you to Jesus in Adoration! There is a "pink sister" always praying in front of the Blessed Sacrament! Thank you, Saint Louis, for the hospitality
