VMUnder Mary's Mantle
Entrusting those discerning God’s call to the sheltering mantle of Mary, where perpetual prayer intercedes for clarity, courage, and a holy yes through her Immaculate Heart.Through this quarterly initiative, the faithful may submit the first name of someone discerning their vocation. Those names are then entrusted to our Blessed Mother’s care and prayed for throughout the following quarter by the members of the Immaculate Heart Vocation Prayer Society.
What is Under Mary's Mantle?
Discernment can be quiet, hidden, and sometimes difficult to carry alone.
The mantle of Mary has long been a sign of her protection and care. To place someone Under Mary’s Mantle is to entrust them to her maternal intercession as they listen for God’s invitation. Through her Immaculate Heart, we ask for clarity, courage, and the grace to say yes.
Discernment is not meant to be carried alone. The Church prays, our Blessed Mother intercedes, and God remains faithful.
How It Works
Submit a Name
During a two-week window each quarter, submit the first name of someone discerning their vocation.
Entrust to Mary
Each name is placed Under Mary’s Mantle and entrusted to her intercession through the Immaculate Heart.
Prayed for All Quarter
Members of the Immaculate Heart Vocation Prayer Society accompany these discerners in prayer throughout the coming quarter.

Do you know someone discerning their vocation? We invite you to submit their first name only to be placed Under Mary’s Mantle, where our global prayer community will accompany them in prayer throughout the coming quarter.
When Can I Submit a Name?
The submission window for Under Mary’s Mantle opens four times each year for two weeks.
When the window closes, the IHVPS begins praying for those names throughout the next quarter.

Who is Praying for the Discerners?
These names are lifted up by members of the Immaculate Heart Vocation Prayer Society, a global community committed to daily prayer for vocations.
