Their words remind us that vocation is an invitation from God, discovered through prayer, openness, and a willingness to listen.

Whether you are discerning your own vocation, encouraging someone you love, or fostering vocations in your parish or community, we hope these words inspire you to listen more closely, pray more deeply, and trust where God may be leading.

What is God Asking of You?

A vocation begins with listening. God calls each of us to holiness and invites us to follow Him in a particular way. Sometimes that call becomes clear quickly. More often, discovering it takes prayer, openness, patience, and the courage to ask the question.

As you reflect on these words from popes, saints, and holy leaders, consider:

Where might God be inviting you to grow, serve, or give more fully of yourself?

Are you open to whatever vocation He may be calling you to?

Is there someone in your life who may need your encouragement to consider God's call?

If you are actively discerning your vocation, you don't have to figure it out all at once. Learn more about discernment and find resources to help you listen for where God may be leading.
