Get to Know Your Clergy
Whether a priest or deacon has been at the parish for one year or twenty, many parishioners may still feel they don’t know him personally. Often, it’s only at a farewell or special celebration that people learn more about the clergy who serve them so faithfully.
To build stronger connections within the parish, invite your clergy to answer a few thoughtful questions. Their responses—ranging from favorite foods and hobbies to spiritual inspirations—can help parishioners engage more personally with those who lead them.
Consider sharing their answers in the bulletin, on social media, or at a reception for a birthday, ordination anniversary, or ministry milestone.

Here are a few examples of some questions:
- Who taught you your faith?
- Who is your favorite saint(s)?
- What attracted you to the priesthood?
- When is your ordination anniversary?
- When is your anniversary with our parish?
- What is your favorite church hymn?
- What is your favorite hobby?
- What is a fun fact that people might not know about you?
